Drying Fundamentals
Drying is controlled moisture removal—not a fixed-day recipe.
Evidence-based postharvest workflow
- Map batch, rack/hang position, spacing, branch form, and dense/worst-case locations.
- Measure where material is; a wall sensor may not represent the drying load.
- Inspect wet pockets, odor, touching surfaces, and low-airflow zones.
- Use a defined endpoint method; stem snap alone is not a validated release test.
